May 9, 2022: One person died on the spot and another critically injured after their vehicle, a SUV was hit by a train.

The accident took place at Bardalani in Dhemaji district of Assam.

The accident happened when the vehicle was trying to cross the railway track.

The passenger train was heading towards Tinsukia in Assam from Naharalgun in Arunachal Pradesh. The accident took place at around 8-15 am.

The two occupants of the vehicle have not been identified yet.
