February 01, 2020: The accused of the shocking rape and murder of Karimganj's Patharkundi region has been arrested by police on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Alauddin.  It may be stated that 11- year-old girl was raped and murdered by Alauddin following which he dumped her body in a pond. She went misssing on 20th January and later on her dead body was recovered on 30th January by the locals.  The accused had been absconding from the police since the crime came to light. Police caught him from Tripura's Kodomtola when he was trying to flee to Bangaldesh.
