May 24, 2022: In a tragic incident, seven people including few women were hit by a speeding truck killing five people and injuring two in Assam’s Sipajhar on Tuesday.

The incident took place at Sipajhar’s College Chowk where the seven people were doing their morning walk. Three people died on the spot and two died on the way to hospital. Two were severely injured and have been admitted at GMCH.

The deceased have been identified as Jaimati Bora, Jintumoni Ahmed, Indadul Hoque, Sangita Devi and Rekib Ali.

The driver and handy man of the truck have fled from scene.
