June 22, 2022: As several parts of Silchar, Assam have been totally submerged by flood waters due to heavy rainfall, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) have carried out rescue operations in the flood-hit areas.
Over 2.16 lakh people have been affected by the floods and over 300 people have been evacuated. Relief and rescue operations are on in full force.
