Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit and Rotaract District 3142 organized a flood relief camp at Sipajhar, Mangaldai in Assam

27 July, 2022 : Rotaract Club of Guwahati Luit and Rotaract District 3142 organized a flood relief camp at Sipajhar, Mangaldai in Assam.



Flood relief kits containing rations and daily essentials were given to 200 families. This project was in association with Adda Quiz Tezpur University, Rotaract Club Calcutta Universe and Rotary Club of Guwahati Luit.



Chinmaya Mission helped at the local level.



People were happy to receive assistance for organizing such a humanitarian project and blessed the members, the club. The club informed that the second phase of the flood relief operation will soon be carried out in the untouched areas, which will benefit another 100-150 families. Kits containing pulses, chivda, oil, soya nuggets, sugar, tea leaves, salt, turmeric etc. were distributed among 200 families. The area was badly devastated by the recent floods and needed some help.

Tushar Jalan - Former District Head & Founder President of Rotaract, Yogesh Malhotra and Rishabh Surana were present as special guests. Bhargava Gogoi - President, Harshit Goenka - Vice President, Sukriti Surekha - Treasurer, Nikumoni - Director, Vibhat Choudhary - Member, Chinmaya Mission were also present along with the members.



The second phase of the flood relief camp would be organised soon. The club officials said “The donation is aimed at providing necessary humanitarian assistance to the areas destroyed by the massive floods” Sayhata -Assam Needs You is being organized by Rotaract Club Guwahati LUIT since last 4 years which is their annual Flashing Flood Relief Project.
