October 2, 2020: Ahead of the assembly election to be held in Assam early next year, the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) has formed a new regional political party named 'Raijor Dal i.e People's Party. This was announced at a press meet here in Guwahati on Friday,

A total of seventy organizations including Anchalik Gana Morcha (AGM) and Bir Lachit Sena have attended the press meet today.

Dr. Hiren Gohain, Dr. Nagen Saikia, Jahnu Barua and several others have been nominated to the advisory committee of the party. While Akhil Gogoi will be the Chief state convenor of the party.

On the other hand Prithviraj Rabha has been nominated to the coordination committee of the party.

The party will oppose other political parties such as BJP, RSS and Congress-AIUDF.

The new political party will be uncompromising in nature and at the same time it will be a nationalistic one.

The new political party will continue to unitedly fight against the Citizenship Amendment Act law. The Raijor Dal has severely criticized AGP.

The party has also launched its website (www.raijordal.org) for membership.
