October 13, 2021: India’s star sprinter from Assam, Hima Das has tested positive for COVID. She was found to be positive during the tests done after she reached the National Institute of Sports in Patiala where she is training. She returned to Patiala on October 10th. Hima was in Guwahati. Her condition is stable.
After failing to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, the 2018 U-20 World Champion in 400 metres took a short break to nurse her hamstring injury.
She is now in Patiala to take part in the national camp for athletics that would begin in the last week of October.
