October 22, 2021: The North East India Petroleum Dealers’ Association have called off their call for a 48 hour petrol pump shut down from 6 AM of October 22 to 6 AM of October 24.

The decision was taken after a meeting of the Association with the oil company official in the presence of DC, Kamrup Metro, Biswajit Pegu.

The companies have agreed to accept 8 of the 10 demands made by the Association.

The call for the shutdown was because Dealers’ Association was unhappy about the manner in which the oil marketing companies had been operating ignoring many of the dealers’ demands.
