June 3, 2020: In a recent development, two more accused have been detained by Mariani Police in connection to Gabharu Parbat mob lynching case.

The two accused Joydeep Kaul, Chief Manager and Balbir Singh, Assistant Manager of Gabharu Tea Estate, Mariani were detained by the police on Tuesday night.

The said incident had taken place on May 29 when a youth namely Debashish Gogoi was brutally attacked by a mob following which he later succumbed to the injuries in hospital on Saturday which triggered sensation.

Earlier, eleven others were arrested in connection to the case.
