June 24, 2021: The 9-member committee constituted by Assam Government to look into the marking system of the Class 12 students will submit its report on Friday.



The second meeting of the committee was held on Thursday in Guwahati.





The committee headed by Prof Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma, Vice Chancellor of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University hinted that the evaluation criteria could be similar to what has been adopted by CBSE.



The first meeting of the high-powered committee was held on Tuesday.

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu had said earlier that the results of the state board examinations will be declared by July 31 based on the evaluation process to be suggested by the committee.



The Assam government had on June 18 cancelled class X and XII state board exams due to the Covid pandemic.
