August 16, 2022: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present at the Durand Cup match to be played in Guwahati tomorrow between North East United FC and Odisha FC on Wednesday, August 17 at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, will kickstart today, August 16, 2022 in Kolkata. The inaugural match will be played between FC Goa and Mohammedan SC at 7 pm at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

Matches will be played in Guwahati and Imphal too. Guwahati will host 10 matches and Imphal one.
