September 19, 2022: Akhil Gogoi, the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Sivasagar, has been suspended again from the Assam Legislative Assembly on Monday by the Deputy Speaker Numal Momin.

Earlier on Wednesday (Sept 14), Akhil Gogoi was suspended for the duration of the Question Hour by Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary for "disrupting proceedings".

Gogoi had wanted to ask a supplementary question pertaining to the Education Department, which the Speaker disallowed.
