July 30, 2022: A husband-wife duo was arrested by Golaghat Police from Golaghat, Assam on Friday night for allegedly torturing a minor girl who was working as a domestic help in their house from last one year.

According to reports, the couple - Nirupam Das who is a worker of Tea board in Sonari and Pinky Saikia who works in the sericulture department are residents of Santipur in Moran.

Both of them were arrested based on a FIR registered by the minor girl on 28 July that the duo had thrown hot water into her body at Moranhat Police Station.
