August 30, 2022: CBI has issued summons to Angkita Dutta, president of the Assam Youth Congress and daughter of Late Anjan Dutta who was President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee and a Former Minister.

She has been summoned in a case (the Saradha scam) related to her late father.
The summon has been issued by CBI, Kolkata. She has been asked to appear before them on September 3.

Angkita had contested the Assam Assembly elections 2021 from Amguri constituency.

The Saradha scam, also known as Saradha Group financial scandal, was a major financial scam that surfaced in 2013.

Investigation into the multi-crore ponzi scheme has been on since then.
