July 31, 2020: An operation to cap the Baghjan well failed Friday morning.
The Oil India Limited in a statement said that all operational crew reached site early Friday morning for carrying out the planned capping operation. But the BOP stack was hooked up with the Athey Wagon for placing on the well head.

While the final capping operation was being attempted, the Athey Wagon toppled over at the last moment and the attempt did not succeed. Reasons for the same are being ascertained for next course of action.
The OIL informed that all six numbers of High Discharge CMT Water Pumps are operational at site for spraying water to the well head during the operation. Total 8 water pumps are available for filling both the water reservoirs periodically.
