June 30, 2021: Assam’s COVID-19 tally rose to 5, 08,484 on Wednesday as 2,479 people tested positive for the infection while 30 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 4,539, the National Health Mission (NHM) bulletin said.

Assam currently has 25,088 active COVID-19 cases.

As many as 3,053 COVID-19 patients recovered from the infection during the day and a total of 4,77,510 people have recovered from the disease so far.

Among the districts, Golaghat reported the maximum number of cases at 330, followed by Nagaon with 191 cases, Jorhat with 180 cases; Sonitpur recorded 179 cases as per data shared by the National Health Mission, Assam on Wednesday.

Barpeta recorded the highest number of deaths at 4, followed by 3 deaths each in Jorhat, Karbi Anglong, and Sivasagar districts, two deaths each from Kamrup (M), Nagaon, and Tinsukia districts.

Cachar, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, and Morigaon districts has reported one covid death each.

The positivity rate for the day was 2.71 per cent and the current death rate is 0.89 per cent.
