September 3, 2021: Assam has reported 554 new COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday taking the toll to 5,90,553 according to the National Health Mission.

The state now has 5,428 active cases and total of 5,677 deaths cases with 6 new deaths.

Out of the new cases, 157 were reported from Kamrup (M), followed by 60 from Golaghat, 40 from  Jorhat and 24 from Lakhimpur.

Barpeta reported 2 deaths. On the other hand, Baksa, Chirang and Golaghat reported one death each.
