September 7, 2023: The prime accused that allegedly killed a businessman named Baser Ali in Bilasipara, Assam has been arrested by police on Wednesday night. The accused has been identified as Akhirul Islam.

The deceased businessman Baser Ali was shot dead near Bhairabganj in Bilasipara on May 25. He was a well-known and established businessman in the area.

The accused fled immediately from the scene after committing the crime and was absconding at a village in Kokrajhar.
