Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Education and Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed the formal loan sanction letters to students at the Numali Jalah Parade Ground, Amingaon.



Abhinandan scheme covers all students who have availed education loan from any scheduled commercial or co-operative banks in Assam and is valid for all accounts active till date. The minimum sanctioned loan amount under the scheme should be of Rs 1 lakh.

There will be no upper limit on the annual income of the students seeking to avail the benefits of this scheme and the benefits will be available to all permanent residents of Assam. 



The government will transfer the subsidy directly to banks.
