November 24, 2021: In a unique decision taken by the Assam Cabinet today, November 24, state government employees would get holidays on January 6 and 7, 2022 to spend time with their parents and parents-in-laws.
Announcing the decision, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “I would personally feel happy if employees take the holidays and spend time with their parents or parents-in-laws”.
