November 12, 2022: A gang of six dacoits detained by Lakhipur Police in Cachar, Assam on Friday night.

The dacoits have been identified as Nekson Khasiya, Saju Ahmed, Nibur Rehman, Arifuddin, Inul Islam and Rinku Das. All of them are from Borkhola, Balasore in Silchar.

According to police, the gang was caught while they were travelling in a vehicle to attempt the robbery.

Some sharp weapons and one gun were recovered from the gang.
