With these fresh novel coronavirus cases, the total number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Assam stands at 25.



As per reports, one COVID-19 positive case has been confirmed from Golaghat district. The case was related to Nizamuddin Markaz event in Delhi.



Another COVID-19 positive case has been confirmed from North Lakhimpur District.



According to the reports, nine cases have been reported from Golaghat district, four from Nalbari district, three from Goalpara and one each from South Salmara, Karimganj district, Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Marigaon, North Lakhimpur. Other four positive patients were in Delhi.



All novel coronavirus positive patients had attended the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi. The Kamrup (Metro) patient identified as Manish Tibrewal, is a resident of Zoo Road's Spanish Garden in Guwahati. He is the first COVID-19 positive case who has no link to the Nizamuddin Markaz.



It may be stated that the District Disaster Management Authority has sealed Spanish Garden and sanitized the compound to control the outbreak of Coronavirus.
