August 30, 2020: The total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 103794 in Assam as 2427 cases were detected out of 36839 tests done in last 24 hours, Health Minister informed on Saturday.

Out of new cases, 459 are from Kamrup (M), 177 from Dibrugarh, 158 from Cachar, and 136 from Jorhat.

The total positive cases include 20992 active cases, 82510 recovered patients, 289 deaths and 3 migrated.

Taking to Twitter Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2427 #COVID cases detected today out of 36839 tests done in last 24 hours

Positivity Rate- 6.58%

Kamrup M- 459, Dibrugarh- 177, Cachar-158, Jorhat- 136

Total cases 103794

Recovered 81070

Active cases 22432

Deaths 289.”

It may be mentioned that 1440 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice.
