June 20, 2022: Amid the concerning flood situation in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a meeting of the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and the Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) - SDOs on Monday morning to review the flood situation and disaster preparedness and management.

The flood situation continues to be grim with over 40 lakh people in 33 districts affected and at least nine people dead in the last 24 hours. Rescue and relief operations are going on in full swing.
