September 1, 2023: Tension erupted between people in Goalpara, Assam on Friday after a bus caught fire in the middle of the road. The incident happened in Dhupdhara.

Reportedly, the bus that was travelling towards Goalpara from Guwahati caught fire due to some technical glitch.

However, the passengers were rescued and no casualties were reported. Locals staged protests and raised slogans as the fire tenders reached the spot lately.
