December 14, 2020: Former All Assam Students Union general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi will join the Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP).

The firebrand leader will join the AJP during the first general convention of the party to be held at Sivasagar from December 16.

Announcing his political journey, Gogoi said that he would discharge any responsibility given by the party to him.

He said that to implement the Assam Accord in toto will be his priority. Gogoi also said that he has taken the decision for the greater interest of the Assamese people.
