August 26, 2020: In an operation carried out by Dibrugarh police, huge amount of brown sugar has been seized in Sunderpur on Tuesday night.

The drugs which are reportedly worth 10 lakh rupees were seized from a residence of one Tusharjyoti Gogoi who was smuggling it to Lower Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

The police have also seized cash 73 thousands rupees along with the drugs.

It may be mentioned that the drugs smuggler had tried to assault the journalist and is currently under police custody.
