August 29, 2020: Total COVID-19 cases have crossed 1 lakh mark in Assam on Friday.
With 2560 new positive cases the COVID-19 toll in Assam now stands at 101367 which include 21771 active cases and 79307 recovered.
Informing this Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 2560 #COVID cases detected today out of 40102 tests done in last 24 hours

On the other hand death toll in the state has risen to 286 with 8 new deaths reported on Friday.
