December13, 2020: The setback Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) sufferered in the hands of Bharatiya Janata Party in the just held poll is a result of its own action few years ago.

“After we came into a coalition, we requested the BPF to give EM post too our lone MCLA as we had accommodated 3 of their 12 MLAs in the cabinet. But they didn’t oblige to it. We had to swallow the insult that time,” said BJP state president Ranjit Kumar Dass.

This insult had forced the party to strengthen its organisation in BTC areas which resulted in the party’s improving its tally from 1 in last time to 9.
