September 10, 2020: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam has reached 133066 with 2243 new cases confirmed on Wednesday.

Reportedly, 31562 tests were done in the last 24 hrs out of which 2243 cases were detected. Out of these, 641cases are from Guwahati alone followed by 170 from Dibrugarh, 140 from Jorhat and 106 from Lakhimpur.

Taking to Twitter Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 2243 #COVID cases detected today out of 31562 tests done in last 24 hours

Positivity Rate- 7.10%

Kamrup M- 641; Dibrugarh- 170; Jorhat- 140; Lakhimpur- 106

Total cases 133066

Recovered 101239

Active cases 31428

Deaths 396”

On the other hand death toll rose to 396 with 18 more deaths on Wednesday.
