June 3, 2020: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Assam has risen to 1621 as 60 new positive cases were reported on Wednesday.

Reportedly, out of the 60 new cases, 38 are from Dhubri, 18 from Golaghat, 4 from Nagaon.

State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, "Alert ~ 60 new cases of #COVID19 . 38 Dhubri, 18 Golaghat, 4 Nagaon. Total cases 1621, recovered 337, active cases 1277, deaths 04".

On Tuesday, total 53 patients have been discharged after they tested negative for COVID-19 twice.
