August 27, 2020: The number of positive cases has risen to 96771 in Assam as 2179 cases were detected out of 36225 tests done in last 24 hours.
Out of new cases, 531 are from Kamrup (M), 152 from Dibrugarh, 136 from Cachar, 134 from Jorhat and 122 from Kamrup (R).
The total positive cases include 19532 active cases, 76962 recovered patients, 274 deaths and 3 migrated.

It may be mentioned that 2148 patients have been discharged after testing negative twice.
