June 14, 2022: Four people died following a landslide due to heavy rainfall in Guwahati on Monday night.

The incident happened at around 2 AM in Boragaon.

Those killed were labourers named Manowar Hussain, Mafijul Haque, Aminul Haque and Hasmat Ali. They were involved in the construction of a house. The workers were residents of Dhubri and Kokrajhar.

The four remained trapped until morning.

One body has been recovered by the SDRF team and others are yet to be found.
