January 19, 2021: People in the age group 21-30 years have been the maximum infected by COVID, according to data shared by Guwahati Medical College and Hospital. The data is based on the number of COVID patients admitted in the hospital between January 1 to 18. A total of 111 people in this age group were admitted at the GMCH after testing positive for COVID.

The second highest numbers of COVID patients are in the age group of 51-60 years during the period mentioned above. As many as 94 patients in this age group have been infected by the virus and were admitted at GMCH.

There were 79 patients in the age group of 31-40 years who were treated at GMCH for COVID.
