September 12, 2024: In response to a recent blast in Sector 10, the Chandigarh Police have announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for information that leads to the arrest of two suspects connected to the incident.
The explosion, which occurred Wednesday evening at a residential property, was identified as a small pressure-type device. The blast caused damage to windows and flower pots but fortunately did not result in any injuries.
In their statement, the police called on the public to assist in their investigation by providing any relevant information. Tips can be reported via the police control room at 017-2749194, emergency number 112, or through WhatsApp at 9465121000.
Sub Inspector Lakhwinder Singh highlighted that the investigation is still underway. He mentioned that a team from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory will revisit the scene today, as the investigation was hindered by darkness the previous night. Singh also assured that additional security measures have been implemented to preserve evidence and support the ongoing investigation.
