September 12, 2020: Chinese People Liberation Army (PLA) is likely to hand over the five Indian nationals, who were missing from Arunachal Pradesh, to Indian authorities on Saturday.
Indian Army sources said that the handover will take place at Wacha near Kibithu border personnel meeting point in Arunachal Pradesh.
Union minister and Arunachal MP Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday tweeted that PLA has confirmed that five men missing from Arunachal Pradesh have been found by their side.
The Army had also said on Tuesday that five missing hunters from the Indian side of LAC in Upper Subansiri, who had inadvertently crossed over to another side on September 2, have been traced.
Two members from a group of 7 youths which went for hunting in the jungle on September 3 returned home and informed the families of the other five that they had been whisked away by the Chinese troops from Sera-7, an Army patrol zone located about 12 km further north of Nacho.
Those allegedly kidnapped have been identified as Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker and Ngaru Diri.
