April 28, 2023: Suman Adhikary, a filmmaker from the Barpeta district of Assam, bagged trophies in two categories - Best Story and Best Screenplay at the 68th Filmfare Awards for the movie “Badhaai Do”.
The 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 with Maharashtra Tourism was held on 27th April at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
The show was hosted by Superstar Salman Khan for the very first time along with Ayushmann Khurrana and Manish Paul.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi bagged 10 trophies including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress.
Whereas, Rajkummar Rao won Best Actor Award and Bhumi Pednekar won Best Actress (Critics) for their performance on the movie Badhaai Do.
Actor Sanjay Mishra also won the Best Actor (Critics) trophy for his performance in Vadh.
