January 6, 2021: Clashes broke out between hostellers of Mahendra Nath Deka Phukan (MNDP) Hostel and SNBC new boys' hostel of the Cotton University (CU) on Wednesday (Jan 5) night. The fight was a fallout ofthe Student Union Election results declared during the day.
Several students were left injured and many students who sustained injuries were rushed to hospital.
