August 15, 2020: The 74th Independence Day of the country was celebrated at the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee office too.
APCC president Ripun Bora unfurled the tricolour in presence of senior leaders and party workers. Ex-CM Tarun Gogoi, veteran leader Dr Bhumidhar Barman and former MP RP Sharma too attended the function.
In the sideliners of the programme, both Bora and Gogoi criticised the Sarbananda Sonowal government for its poor handling of the Assam Accord Clause 6 issue. They also accused Himanta Biswa Sharma of doing politics in the name of Corona.
