November 16, 2022: A shocking incident took place at Boithamari in Bongaigaon, Assam on Tuesday night where three members of a family were drugged and looted by a miscreant.
The matter came to light when the victims woke up late afternoon and realized that all their belongings had been stolen.
The victims namely Taiyab Ali, Arjooma Begum and Alamin Ali are currently undergoing treatment at Bongaigion Civil Hospital. Out of 3, one Arjooma Begum is in critical condition.
As per the family, recently an unknown person who claimed to be a distant relative visited their home. The whole family got involved and formed a good bond with him.
Later, when they woke up the miscreant already fled from the house with all their gold ornaments, huge amount of money and other belongings.
This incident has caused a havoc amongst the local.
