July 27, 2021: Total curfew has been imposed in Golaghat and Lakhimpur as the Covid situation continues to be grim in these two districts of Assam. Curfew in Goalpara, Morigaon, Jorhat, Sonitpur and Biswanath has been imposed from 5AM-2PM, as per the new Covid SOP released today. The revised SOP would come into effect from tomorrow, July 28.
Curfew in Dhubri, Kamrup Metro, South Salmara, Majuli, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Charaideo, Hailakandi, Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, Nalbari, Baksa, Bajali, Kamrup Rural, Darang, Nagaon, Jojai, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Cachar and Karbi Anglong would be from 5AM-5PM. Shops, offices, business establishments have to shut in these places by 4PM.
Shops, markets and offices in Goalpara, Morigaon, Jorhat, Sonitpur and Biswanath have to shut by 1PM.
Grocery shops, fruits, vegetables and fairy shops will be open till 5PM in Golaghat and Lakhimpur, the districts where total lockdown has been announced.
