May 30, 2023: A devastating fire broke out at a cloth store at a market in Sivasagar, Assam on Monday night.
Reportedly, the workers of the shop were rescued after breaking the window glass.
Police and fire-fighters reached the incident spot to douse the fire. Some of the fire-fighters however managed to break the shutters and entered the shop to rescue the people.
Later, the fire spread from Arun's showroom to the back warehouse. Police officials informed that the property worth over Rs One crore suspected to be destroyed in the fire.
According to a report, four fire-fighters vehicles are still trying to extinguish the fire. Earlier on the midnight, at least 40 vehicles tried to douse the fire.
No casualties have been reported.
