November 11, 2022: The ongoing construction of 54-bigha Botanical Garden at the Old Jail campus in Fancy Bazaar,Guwahati will be completed within five months.
According to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GMDA, around 75 per cent of the work has been completed. The primary plan is to build a green are the CEO added.
The project was started on January 19, 2022. The total project cost is ₹31 crore. GMDA plans to plant 100 different species of trees.
