May 20, 2023: The death case of Junmoni Rabha, the controversial Sub-Inspector of Morikolong Police Station, has been handed over to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for investigation on Saturday.
Junmoni Rabha was killed in road accident in Nagaon district of Assam on May 16. The accident took place when the cop who was driving the car towards the Upper Assam direction collided with a container truck on the highway. Though the cop was taken to the hospital but the doctor declared her brought dead.
Earlier, the case was investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Now, the Assam Police DGP GP Singh ordered to hand over the case.
