June 17, 2020: 95 new COVID-19 positive cases confirmed in Assam on Wednesday, taking total number of COVID-19 cases to 4605.
Out of 95 positive cases, 21 are from Jorhat, 20 from Golaghat, 12 from Hailakandi, 6 from Dibrugarh, 6 from Kamrup, 7 from Karbi Anglong, 4 from Dhemaji, 4 from Barpeta, 4 from Cachar, 3 from Bongaigaon, 2 from Nagaon, 2 from Udalguri, 1 from Dima Hasao, 1 from Sonitpur, and 2 yet to be ascertained.
State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 95 #COVID19+ cases. 21 Jorhat, 20 G'ghat, 12 H'kandi, 6 D'garh, 6 Kamrup, 7 K Anglong, 4 Dhemaji, 4 Barpeta, 4 Cachar, 3 B'gaon, 2 Nagaon, 2 U'guri, 1 D'Hasao, 1 S'pur, 2 TBA. Total cases 4605, recovered 2411, active cases 2183, deaths 08.”
On Wednesday, 231 patients have been discharged after they tested negative for COVID-19 twice.
