November 7, 2020: Fresh tension is erupting at Lailapur in Assam-Mizoram border as Mizoram Police has resisted a move to set up camps for central forces.

On Friday, Mizoram Police sent back a team of Assam Police led by Silchar SP to set up camps for the central forces.

After that, the situation became tense. A large number of local people came out to resist any move by the Mizo Police.

The central government, in a discussion with both Assam and Mizoram had decided to deploy central forces along the border to diffuse the tension.
