Aug 8, 2020: The 14-day lockdown in Kohima ended on Saturday as the Kohima District Task Force for COVID-19 decided to not extend the lockdown any further. The Task Force, in a meeting on Friday decided to lift the total lockdown measures with effect from Saturday.

It may be mentioned that the lockdown was imposed in Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) areas from July 25.

Kohima deputy commissioner informed that the earlier order specifying market opening days and timings will continue to remain in force. Meanwhile, the DC informed that the odd-even system for vehicles would remain in force till August 31.
