July 31, 2020: Ahead of a crucial assembly session, the Congress on Friday has shifted its MLAs to Jaisalmer.



The MLAs of the Ashok Gehlot camp were staying at a hotel on the Jaipur- Delhi Highway. But the party has decided to shift them to a safer place shifted to a safer place.



The MLAs were shifted after the Congress Legislature Party meeting at the Fairmont hotel. The MLAs were staying in the hotel since July 13 after Sachin Pilot had rebelled along with 18 other Congress MLAs against Gehlot.



This forced a political crisis on the state amidst the Covid19. After rejecting thrice, Governor Kalraj Mishra had agreed with the state Cabinet’s proposal to call an assembly session from August 14.
