August 11, 2020: The total number of coronavirus cases in India has increased to 22,68,676, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Tuesday.



A single-day spike of 53,601 cases and 871 deaths has been reported in the last 24 hours.





The death toll in the country has surged to 45,257 while 15,83,490 patients have been cured or discharged so far and 6,39,929 cases  are currently active.



Now, India has 28.21% active cases, 69.80% cured/discharged/migrated and 1.99% deaths, said Government.

As per reports, the coronavirus positive cases in India has been increasing lately surpassing U.S and Brazil’s in terms of daily spike.



According to the John Hopkins University, the COVIDS-19 cases have crossed 20 million mark worldwide on Monday. US, Brazil and India remain the worst-hit country with COVID-19 in the world.
