July 09, 2020: Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi has tested negative for COVID-19 on Thursday.



His swab test which was sent for futher clarification to Delhi came back negative this evening.



Earlier two other KMSS leaders, Dharjya Konwar and Bittu Sonowal had tested positive for COVID-19 but Akhil Gogoi’s report was pending.



The three of them who were imprisoned at Central Jail Guwahati got infected by the virus at the jail itself and were unwell for the last couple of days clearly showing symptoms of novel coronavirus.

Akhil Gogoi’s health update was brought to light by his wife on social media previously following which the NIA Court ordered for their swab test.







The KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi is still unwell and imprisoned at Central Jail Guwahati wherease Dharjya Konwar and Bittu Sonowal are being admitted at GMCH.
